ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION IN THE GENERAL PARK FUND FOR $133,860.00 # S5'37 - -73 WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so it is now necessary to appropriate money from the General Park Fund to the annual budget for various functions of the Department of Public Parks to meet such extraordinary emergency WHEREAS, the Department of Public Parks determined the tract of land known as Erskine Park Nursery was not suitable for park use and therefore sold the land for the amount of $128,000.00 and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Parks determined that a tract of land in the northeast section of Potawatomi Park was not suitable for park use and therefore sold the land for the sum of $5,860.00 and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Parks plans to use such funds for the replacement of a maintenance garage, caretaker home and the purchase of additional park acreage from the monies received and which has been deposited in the General Park Fund Section I. Now therefore, be it ordained, by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana that for the expenses of City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1973, the following items be appropriated and set apart out of funds herein named for the purposes herein specified subject to the laws governing the same and such sum herein appropriated shall include all expendi- tures authorized to be made during the year unless otherwise expressly stipulated by law. Section II. That foresaid fiscal year there is hereby appropriated out of the General Park Fund $133,860.00 Section III. That the Account +711, Buildings and Structures be increased $131,800.00 Section IV. That the Account +58, Taxes, Gross Income be increased $2,060.00
