1st READING PUBLIC HEARING 2nd READING NOT APPROVED REFERRED PASSED ORDINANCE NO. S S3 /- -23 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $18,000.00 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND AND $2,000.00 FROM THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR PROJECT R & S 61 - MICHICAN STREET - MAIN STREET CONNECTOR. WHEREAS, there was enacted during the 1969 Session of the Indiana General Assembly an Act, Chapter 392 of the Acts of 1969, making available to cities, towns and counties for engineering, construction or reconstruction of roads, streets, and bridges under local jurisdiction, certain additional funds to be derived from the 7th and 8th cents of Indiana motor fuel tax and fuel use tax and from increases in fees levied under the Motor Vehicle Act; and WHEREAS, no appropriation of such funds was included in the regular 1973 budget for the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana; and WHEREAS, an emergency exists requiring the appropriation and expenditure of certain of said funds already received or to be received before the end of the year 1973; and WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated for the City's matching funds, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: SECTION I. The following sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the Local Road and Street Fund and the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund for the purpose of engineering plans and specifications for the following project: Project No. Location Amount R & S 61 Michigan Street - Main Street (Connector - Engineering Plans and Specifications) Local Road and Street Fund $18,000.00 Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund 2,000.00 Total Project $20,000.00 SECTION II.
