ORDINANCE NO. 5684 -74 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $23,495.00 FROM <br />THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY <br />REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR <br />VARIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAMS, TO BE ADMIN- <br />ISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH <br />ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY. <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department <br />of Public Safety to administer certain Public Safety programs and to <br />insure the Department's ability to properly perform its functions <br />during the year of 1974: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council <br />of the City of South Bend as follows: <br />SECTION I. The Environmental Bureau must submit a <br />written monthly report to the Council on the first of each month <br />after the ordinance is in effect. The report must state <br />the number <br />of complaints received, the amount of dogs picked up and <br />the disposal <br />of the dogs, and any such information that the Council may request. <br />SECTION III. This ordinance shall be in <br />full force <br />and effect from and�ter its passage by the Common Council, approval <br />by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for <br />emergency appropriations. <br />Member of th on Council <br />Passed June 10, 1974, as amended. <br />
