ORDINANCE NO. 5675 -74 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $438,000.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS HUMAN RESOURCES PROGRAMS, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES. WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department of Human Resources to administer certain Human Resources programs and to insure the Department's ability to properly perform its functions during the year of 1974. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend as follows: SECTION I. That the sum of $438,000.00 is hereby appropriated for the year of 1974 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Human Resources and will be distributed as set forth below: Program FA52 "Neighborhood Development Program" Account Description Amount Services 110.0 Salaries $ 25,283.00 Personal Total Services Personal $ 25,283.00 Services 260.0 Other Contractual Services $405,811.00 Contractual Total Services Contractual 405,811.00 Supplies 363.0 Other Office Supplies $ 3,000.00 Total Supplies 3,000.00 Current 620.0 Social Security $ 1,480.00 Obligations 630.0 P.E.R.F. 1,965.00 640.0 Group Insurance 461.00 Total Current Obligations 3,906.00 Total FA52 $438,000.00 The sum of $405,811.00 in Account 260.0, Services Contractual, shall be used solely for the purpose of a contract to be entered into with the South Bend Department of Redevelopment for the purposes as set forth in Section V of the ordinance creating a Division of Community Development within the City of South Bend. SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after is passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, the effective date of "An Ordinance Creating a Division of Community Development Within the City of South Bend ", and the fulfill- ment of all statutory requirements for emergency funding.
