The <br />present peak -hour demand exceeds the capacity of this intersection. <br />This proposed improvement will add additional lane capacity at this <br />intersection to handle the traffic demand. The increased capacity <br />at this intersection will reduce delays, a significant factor in <br />terms of fuel conservation and reduced air pollution. <br />The total funds requested include $81,000 from the LRSA account and <br />$9,000 from the CCIF.
