ORDINANCE NO. S & o 8 -'7 3 An Ordinance establishing a new schedule of rates and charges for services rendered by the waterworks system of the City of South Bend and repealing Ordinance No. 4320 -60 and Ordinance No. 4345 -60 WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend has heretofore on May 23, 1960, adopted Ordinance No. 4320- 60 establishing a schedule of rates and charges for services rendered by the waterworks system of the City of South Bend, which ordinance was amended by Ordinance No. 4345 -60, adopted on November 2, 1960; and WHEREAS, due to the passage of time and resultant in- creases in the financial requirements of the waterworks, the Council now finds that the revenues provided by the rates and charges established by said ordinances are insufficient to meet the financial requirements of the waterworks; and WHEREAS, the Council now finds that in order to meet such financial requirements, it is necessary that the rates and charges be increased for the services rendered by said waterworks; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND: Section 1. There shall be and are hereby established for the use of and the services rendered by the waterworks system of the City of South Bend, the following rates and charges, based upon the use of water and facilities furnished by said waterworks system:
