ORDINANCE NO <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND <br />MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE <br />INDIANA, AS AMENDED. <br />5591 -73 <br />SECTION 15 -16 OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, that: <br />SECTION 1: Subdivision (2) of Subsection (a), <br />Section 15 -16 of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows: <br />"(2) Mileage rates: Seventy -five Cents ($0.75) <br />for the first one -fifth (1/5) of a mile or <br />fraction thereof; thereafter, Ten Cents ($0.10) <br />for each additional one - quarter (1/4) of a mile <br />or fraction thereof; and," <br />SECTION 2: Subsection (a) of Section 15 -16 of the <br />Municipal Co e � of -the City of South Bend, Indiana, as amended, is <br />hereby further amended by the addition thereto of the following <br />new subdivision (4): <br />"(4) If the passenger(s) requires the taxicab <br />to carry packages or luggage or other articles, <br />then the trip shall be charged at a minimum rate <br />of fare of One Dollar and Twenty -five Cents ($1.25) <br />when any of the articles are handled by the driver." <br />SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and <br />effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approved <br />by the Mayor. <br />Member of a Common Council <br />Passed October 8, 1973, as amended. <br />
