ORDINANCE NO. S�o 'J q <br />An Ordinance amending Chapter 4, Article 8, Section <br />4 -48 (P), of the Municipal Code of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Park Commissioners, of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, has received numerous complaints <br />about Section 4 -48 (P) which prohibits the use of mineral or <br />metal detectors and after review of said sections by the Board <br />of Park Commissioners, the Board is hereby requesting the <br />ordinance be amended, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana that <br />Section I Chapter 4, Article 8, Section 4 -48 (P) <br />be amended to read "Use of mineral or metal detectors is pro- <br />hibited except by permit from the Board of Park Commissioners. <br />Section II This ordinance shall be in full force <br />and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council <br />of the City of South Bend, its signing by the President of <br />the Common Council and its approval by the Mayor of the City <br />of South Bend, Indiana and its publication as required by law. <br />Inv <br />1st READING <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />2nd READING <br />NOT APPROVED <br />REFERRED <br />PASSED <br />�2 -// -7 S[ <br />a -as -�y <br />.2 <br />a- as - -7 i/ <br />Member of the Common Council <br />FILED IN CLERIC'S OFFICE <br />FEB 5 1974 <br />Irene Gammon <br />CRY CLERK,; SOUTH BEND, IND. <br />
