ORDINANCE NO. 5639 -74 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $497,000.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR THE CIVIC CENTER PROJECT, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CIVIC CENTER AUTHORITY. WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Civic Center Authority to administer the Civic Center Project and to insure the Authority's ability to properly perform its functions during the year of 1974. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend as follows: SECTION I. That the sum of $497,000.00 is hereby appropriated orear of 1974 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Civic Center Authority and will be distributed as set forth below: PROGRAM FA45 "CIVIC CENTER PROJECT" Properties: Account Description Amount 725.0 Office Equipment $ 2,000.00 Total Properties $ 2,000.00 $ 2,000.00 Services Contractual: 214.0 Telephone and Telegraph $ 700.00 262.0 Promotional and Fund Raising 30,000.00 263.0 Demolition of Generator Plant 10,000.00 261.0 Architects Fees, Design and Special Reports 454,300.00 a) $186,000 - Design Developmental Phase b) 203,300 - Construction Document Phase c) 60,000 - Speciality Area Consultants d) 5,000 - Cost Estimator Reports Total Services Contractual $495,000.00 495,000.00 GRAND TOTAL FA45 $497,000.00 SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emergency appropriations.
