ORDINANCE NO. 5632 -74 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $58,245.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY PRO- GRAMS, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY. WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department of Public Safety to administer certain public safety programs and to insure the Department's ability to properly perform its functions for a period not to exceed six months. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend as follows: SECTION I. That the sum of $58,245.00 is hereby appropriated for a period not to exceed six months from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Public Safety and will be distributed as set forth below: Program FA41 "Overtime Foot Patrol" Account Description Amount Services Personal 130.0 Extra and Overtime $55,000.00 Total Services Personal $55,000.00 Current Obligations 620.0 Social Security $ 3,245.00 Total Current Obligations $ 3,245.00 Total FA41 $58,245.00 SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emergency appropriations. a W Member of the Common Council Passed January 28, 1974, as amended.
