ORDINANCE NO. 5-6a5 - ?3 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $40,921.25 FROM THE SEWAGE WORKS CONSTRUCTION FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE LIME SLUDGE REMOVAL VEHICLES, AND ONE GRIT REMOVAL VEHICLE BY THE BUREAU OF WASTE WATER. WHEREAS, three Lime Sludge Removal Vehicles and one Grit Removal Vehicle are needed by the Bureau of Waste Water; and WHEREAS, a total bid of $35,028.75 for the sale of the three Lime Sludge Removal Vehicles was submitted by Jordan Ford City, Mishawaka, Indiana; and WHEREAS, this low bid of $35,028.75 by Jordan Ford City was accepted by the Board of Waste Water Commissioners on December 3, 1973; and WHEREAS, a bid of $5,892.50 for the sale of one Grit Removal Vehicle was submitted by McCarthy G.M.C. Truck, Inc., South Bend, Indiana; and WHEREAS, this low bid of $5,892.50 by McCarthy G.M.C. Truck, Inc. was accepted by the Board of Waste Water Commissioners on December 3, 1973; and WHEREAS, funds are now needed for the purchase of the three Lime Sludge Removal Vehicles and one Grit Removal Vehicle; and WHEREAS, a Sewage Works Construction Fund has been estab- lished. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: SECTION I. That the sum of $35,028.75 be appropriated from the Sewage Works Construction Fund for the purchase of three Lime Sludge Removal Vehicles by the Bureau of Waste Water from Jordan Ford City, Mishawaka, Indiana and that the sum of $5,892.50 be appropriated from said Fund for the purchase of one Grit Removal Vehicle by the Bureau of Waste Water from McCarthy G.M.C. Truck, Inc., South Bend, Indiana. SECTION II.
