Public Works <br />Members of the Common Council <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />Reply To: Bureau of <br />Design & Administration <br />October 7, 1974 <br />Attached is an ordinance appropriating $110,000.00 from the Cumulative Sewer <br />Sinking and.Building Fund to CS -2, Model Cities Sewer Separation Project. <br />Prior to this time, money was appropriated for engineering on this project. <br />The engineering design work has proceeded to a point where necessary land <br />acquisition has been defined. The land to be acquired is an area bounded by <br />Orange Street, College Street, Washington Avenue and Jackson Street. A re- <br />tention basin is to be constructed on this site. <br />For your reference, this project is expected to cost approximately $2.1 million <br />with approximately $679,000.00 coming from HUD. <br />Your approval of this appropriation will be appreciated. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Rollin E.
