ORDINANCE NO. 5- -7 a:y - -2 4/ <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ANNUAL VACATIONS FOR CITY PERSONEL <br />BE IT ENACTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND THAT SECTION 2 -46 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE BE AMENDED AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />1. Delete from Section 2 -46 of the Municipal Code of the City <br />of South Bend: <br />(a) Each and every appointive officer, employee, deputy, assistant <br />and departmental and institutional head shall be entitled to an annual <br />vacation as follows: <br />(1) Those having less than one (1) years' service with the <br />City: No days paid vacation; <br />(2) Those having more than one (1) and less than ten (10) <br />years' service with the City: Ten (10) working days of <br />paid vacation; <br />(3) Those having ten (10) years' and less than twenty (20) <br />years' service with the City: Fifteen (15) working days <br />of paid vacation; and, <br />(4) Those having twenty (20) or more years' service with <br />the City; Twenty (20) working days of paid vacation. <br />2. Insert in lieu thereof the following: <br />(a) Each and every appointive officer, employee, deputy, assistant <br />and departmental and institutional head shall be entitled to an annual <br />vacation as follows: <br />(1) Those having less than one (1) years' service with the <br />City: No days paid vacation; <br />(2) Those having more than one (1) and less than eight (8) <br />years' service with the City: Ten (10) working days of <br />paid vacation; <br />(3) Those having eight (8) years' and less than sixteen (16) <br />years' service with the City: Fifteen (15) working days <br />of paid vacation; and, <br />(4) Those having sixteen (16) or more years' service with the <br />City: Twenty (20) working days of paid vacation. <br />Upon passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor this <br />ordinance shall be in full force and effect on and after January 1, 1975. <br />1st READING <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />2nd READING <br />NOT APPROVED <br />REFERRED <br />PASSED <br />q_ q_- y <br />9- v - ?4/ <br />Member of the Common Council <br />FILED IN CLERK'S OFFICE <br />Al) "u 7 1974 <br />Irene Gammon <br />CITY CLERK, SOUTH BEND, IND. <br />
