Department of Public Parks <br />Administration Building <br />St. Louis Boulevard at Wayne Street <br />South Bend 17, Indiana <br />December 11, 1974 <br />Mr. Peter Nemeth, President <br />South Bend Coasaon Council <br />County -City Building <br />217 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />South Send, Indiana <br />Dear Mr. Nemeth: <br />The Department of Public Parks is requesting the comes council to <br />approve the enclosed ordinance in the amount of $100200.00. <br />The $10,200.00 will be used to pay for architect and engineering <br />services for plans and specifications for the proposed Pier Park. <br />D As you were ewer*, the cost of the architect fees and development <br />cast for Pier Park wore included in the park bond issue that was <br />defeated in November. <br />The Park Department has received approval of a $75,000.00 grant from <br />the Department of Natural Resources for the Pier Park development. <br />We are now in the process of trying to obtain funds-for the develop- <br />Rant of Pier Park so that we was use the $73,000.00 grant. <br />Very truly yours, <br />DEPARTMINT OF PUBLIC PARRS <br />James R.
