a� SP /G --2s <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM <br />OF $35,900.00 FROM THE GENERAL PARK <br />FUND TO ACCOUNT #260.0, OTHER CON- <br />TRACTUAL SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the <br />adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to ap- <br />propriate $35,900.00 from the General Park Fund to Account #260.0, Other Con- <br />tractual Services for the efficient operation of the Department of Public Parks <br />to meet such extraordinary emergencies, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has received a $40,000.00 grant from <br />the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission towards the development of the <br />South Bend Bicentennial Park, and <br />WHEREAS, to alleviate making an emergency appropriation for every <br />partial payment required by the contractors, the Department is asking the <br />council to approve the balance of the $40,000.00 grant ($35,900.00) that is <br />coming from the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission. <br />WHEREAS, a reimbursement payment, in the amount of $35,900.00, will <br />be received by the Department of Public Parks from the American Revolution Bi- <br />centennial Commission during the construction of the Bicentennial Park. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana: <br />Section 1. That the General Park Fund be reduced in the <br />amount of $35,900.00 <br />Section 2.
