ORDINANCE NO. 5890 -75 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $6,000.00 FROM THE <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY REFERRED TO <br />AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS PARK <br />DEPARTMENT PROGRAMS, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF <br />PUBLIC PARKS. <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Department <br />of Public Parks to administer certain Park Department programs and <br />to insure the department's ability to properly perform its functions <br />during the year of 1975; and <br />WHEREAS, an emergency does exist for a new heating system <br />at LaSalle Recreation Center because the heating season is approaching; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend as follows: <br />SECTION I. That the sum of $6,000.00 is hereby appro- <br />priated for the year of 1975 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, <br />commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Fund. This appropriation <br />is to be administered by the Department of Public Parks and will be <br />distributed as set forth below: <br />Program FA 89 "Boiler, LaSalle Recreation Center" <br />Account Description Amount <br />Services 251.0 Repairs to Buildings and $6,000.00 <br />Contractual Structures <br />Total Repairs to Bldgs. <br />and Structures $6,000.00 <br />TOTAL FA 89 $6,000.00 <br />SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and <br />effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by <br />the Mayor, and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for <br />emergency appropriations. <br />Passed September 22, 1975, as amended. <br />
