ORDINANCE NO. 5868 -75 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $31,500.00 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREETS FUND, AND $3,500.00 FROM THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND TO PROJECT R & S 85, SIGNALIZATION OF FELLOWS STREET AT IRELAND ROAD AND MIAMI AT IRELAND. WHEREAS, there was enacted during the 1969 Session of the Indiana General Assembly an Act, Chapter 392 of the Acts of 1969, making available to cities, towns and counties for engineering, construction or reconstruction of roads, streets and bridges under local jurisdiction, certain additional funds to be derived from the 7th and 8th cents of Indiana motor fuel tax and fuel tax and from increases in fees levied under the Motor Vehicle Act; and WHEREAS, no appropriation of such funds was included in the regular 1975 budget for the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana; and WHEREAS, an emergency exists requiring the appropriation and expenditure of certain of said funds already received or to be received before the end of the year 1975; and WHEREAS, funds have been appropriated for the city's matching funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: SECTION I. The following sums of money are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the Local Roads and Streets Fund, and the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund for engineering costs on the following project: R & S 85 Signalization of Fellows Street at Ireland Road;signalization of Miami at Ireland Road Local Roads and Streets $31,500.00 Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund 3,500.00 Total Construction Appropriation 35,000.00 SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and meter its passage and approval as required by law. Passed August 11, 1975, as amended.
