Tanta i W Irvar# <br />(!o Me (91IM It Moumil of thr Tug of #OW4 Aenb: <br />Your Committee Of the Whole <br />to whom was referred <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE ANNUAL PAY OF <br />POLICEMEN FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 1976. <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion the Ordinance should be <br />recommended favorably to the Common Council, as amended: <br />Amend salary schedule to increase amounts by $16.00 for Corporal, <br />Technician Detective, Specialist Det. Serg., Sergeant, Lieutenant and <br />Captain. <br />Section 3 to be amended to read: Any individual officer receiving <br />less than a $300 salary increase above his salary as of December 31, <br />1975, may be entitled to a salary schedule adjustment which shall be <br />established $300 above his December 31, 1975 salary. This salary may <br />be set by the Board of Safety prior to the first pay period of 1976 <br />and shall include night incentive, educational incentive and hazard <br />pay. This section shall not apply to those officers in the lowest <br />three ranks as of December 31, 1975. This section is meant to insure <br />a reward to individual officers for longevity and experience on the <br />police force. <br />Section 3 becomes Section 4. <br />Second paragraph to read: (a) For time spent in court appearances <br />and overtime work as determined by the Chief of Police, $5.00 per hour. <br />A police officer requested to work overtime by the Police Chief or his <br />designee is automatically paid the $5.00 per hour. <br />Designate third and fourth paragraphs as (b) and (c) respectively. <br />Add a new Section 5: The Common Council recommends that the <br />contribution to dependent hospitalization be increased by $84.00 per <br />year. <br />Old Section 4 becomes Section 6. <br />Odell Newburn <br />Chairman. <br />PR EL lR EIS pI1BLIf NIH4 CO. <br />
