ORDINANCE NO. (? % 4 - % ( <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRI- <br />ATION FROM THE GENERAL PARK FUND IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $75,000.00 TO ACCOUNT <br />NUMBER 260.0, OTHER CONTRACTUAL SER- <br />VICES, GENERAL <br />WHEREAS, Certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the <br />adoption of the existing annual budget, so that is is now necessary to appropri- <br />ate more money than was appropriated in the annual budget for the various <br />functions of city government to meet such extraordinary emergencies, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Department of Public Parks will <br />receive $75,000.00 as a fifty (50 %) per cent reimbursement for funds spent <br />on the construction of Pier Park from the Land and Water Conservation Fund <br />administered by the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation, and <br />WHEREAS, Bids received on Pier Park were higher than estimated <br />engineering costs and the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation funds will be needed to <br />complete Pier Park. <br />Section I. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Common Council of the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, that for the expenses of City Government and its <br />institutions for the year ending December 31, 1976, the following sum of money <br />is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund herein named and for the <br />purpose herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same, and such sum <br />herein appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be <br />made during the year, unless, otherwise expressly stipulated and provided by law. <br />Section II. That for said fiscal year there is hereby appropriated out of <br />and from the General Park Fund, the following specified amount to meet such <br />extraordinary emergency as follows, to -wit: <br />1. Park Department Account 260.0 designated as <br />Other Contractual Services, General $75,000.00 <br />Section III.
