NO. 5872 -75 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR <br />VARIOUS BUREAU OF HOUSING PROGRAMS. <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend has received a grant from <br />the Department of Housing and Urban Development under the Housing and <br />Community Development Act of 1974; and <br />WHEREAS, the application for such funds allocated funding <br />for various Bureau of Housing programs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of <br />the City of South Bend: <br />SECTION I. Expenditures for the following housing <br />rehabilitation programs are approved in accordance with the budgets <br />stated: <br />Project Area Rehabilitation Grants <br />for contractual services ........... $535,000 <br />Emergency Repair Program <br />for contractual services ........... 150,000 <br />Referrals from Housing Allowance Office <br />for contractual services ........... 100,000 <br />Grants to Non - Profit Groups <br />for contractual services ........... 50,000 <br />SECTION II. This ordinance shall be in full force and <br />effect from and�ter its passage by the Common Council and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />Passed August 11, 1975, as amended. <br />
