ORDINANCE NO. _61Qq3.:_76 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $22,000.00 FROM THE <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT COMMONLY REFERRED TO <br />AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING, FOR VARIOUS POLICE <br />EQUIPMENT, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND THROUGH THE BUREAU OF POLICE PRO- <br />TECTION. <br />WHEREAS, additional funds are needed by the Bureau of Police <br />Protection to ensure the department's ability to properly perform <br />its function during 1976, and provide safer working conditions for <br />its police officers, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. <br />ACCOUNT <br />Properties 726.0 <br />That the sum of $22,000.00 is hereby appropriated <br />for the year of 1976 from the Federal Assistance <br />Grant Fund commonly known as the General Revenue <br />Sharing Fund. This appropriation is to be admini- <br />stered by the Bureau of Police Protection and will <br />be distributed as set forth below: <br />PROGRAM FA 108 "BULLET RESISTANT VESTS" <br />DESCRIPTION <br />Other Equipment <br />AMOUNT <br />$22,000.00 <br />Total FA 108 $22,000.00 <br />SECTION II.
