ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $87,334 FROM THE <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND, FOR SUBSTANDARD <br />DEMOLITION, TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF <br />PUBLIC WORKS. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Human Resources in the <br />name of the City of South Bend has received the approval of <br />the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development <br />to execute certain community development project activities <br />for clearance of substandard structures which are deteriorating, <br />obsolete and unwanted within our community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council <br />of the City of South Bend as follows: <br />Section I. The sum of $87,334 is hereby appropriated <br />for the program year starting July 7, ,976, from the South Bend <br />Community Development Block Grant Program. This appropriation is <br />to be administered by the Bureau of Substandard Buildings. <br />PROGRAM CD - 76 - 200 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM <br />PURPOSE AMOUNT <br />Substandard Demolition $87,334 <br />Section II. This ordinance shall be in full force and <br />effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />Member of the Common Council <br />I signed only to provide an <br />Opportunity for r,:blic discussion <br />and Council action on the issue.. <br />
