Talboom Deputy <br /> Mary Beth Wisniewski Chief Deputy <br /> Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand Council Attorney <br /> <br />REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />Councilmember Oliver Davis made a motion that the minutes of the September 9, 2013, meeting <br />of the Council be accepted and placed on file. Councilmember Schey seconded the motion <br />which carried by a voice vote of nine (9) ayes. <br /> <br />SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> <br />REPORT FROM TRINAL ON MBE/WBE PROGRAM <br />th <br />Alicia Garcia-Abner, President, Trinal, Inc., 329 W. 18 Street, Suite 401, Chicago, IL along <br />with Tammi Davis, Chief of Operations, presented a Power Point presentation. Ms. Garcia- <br />Abner advised that the leadership team at Trinal, Inc. provides a wealth of knowledge and over <br />100 years of combined experience. Trinal was incorporated in 1997 and is located in Chicago, <br />Illinois. She stated that their workforce resides in Illinois and Indiana. They managed multi- <br />millions of dollars in contracts and millions of accompanying payroll in the past 15 years. She <br />noted that Trinal’s staff is certified by the American Contract Compliance Association Training <br />Institute in the categories of Certified and/or Master Compliance Administrators. She stated that <br />they provide strategic sourcing and outreach; policy and program development; economic <br />development consulting; MBW/WBE program monitoring; labor compliance; contract <br />compliance; organizational development; MBW/WBE/DBE/LBE certification assistance; <br />software as a service (SaaS). She stated that additional client services include procurement and <br />program management; development, facilitation and implementation of client economic <br />development initiatives; MBE/WBE/DBE/LBE policy and program development and <br />implementation; development of procurement, compliance and certification related standard <br />operation procedures manuals, monitor and report on contract MBE/WBE/DBE/LBE and <br />workforce hiring compliance; training in procurement and MBE/WBE/DBE/LBE program <br />administration; facilitate and conduct vendor and community outreach initiatives; workforce <br />hiring initiative development and implementation. She stated that they have relevant experience <br />in both the public and private sector as well as non-profit and tax incremental financing. She <br />stated that they use Global Project Tracking System (GPTS) and are completed web-based. <br />They can track MBW/WBE/LBE spend and track minority, female and local residency <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
