Permission in both instances was granted and <br />bids were received for cars and a communications console for the Fire <br />Department's alarm station. Upon my recommendation, the lowest bids <br />were tentatively accepted by the Board of Public Works pending the <br />approval of funding legislation. <br />Therefore, I respectfully request an appropriation of $41,300, of <br />which $25,300 will be spent for the purchase of new cars and $16,000 <br />for the communications console. <br />Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
