Page 2 - Bureau of Sanitation Budget Line Item Explanation - 1977
243.0 Photographing & Blueprinting 400.00
(1976 - $150.00)
Purchase of film and camera supplies used
in keeping visual records of sewers and
work areas. Also used in Sludge Farm
data comparison. Also additional purchase
of video tape and film used for sewer
inspection truck.
252.0 Equipment Repair 13,000.00
(1976 - $12,000.00)
Although most maintenance and re-
pair work is done in -house for the
Bureaus of Sanitation and Wastewater,
there are repair problems that we
are not equipped to handle. Also,
in the area of equipment modification
we need outside assistance.
260.0 Other Contractual Services 12,000.00
(1976 - $14,000.00)
Through the funding of the account
we are able to accomplish tasks that
we might otherwise be too limited
to handle. During construction
season the ability to lease replace-
ment or specialty equipment can mean
the difference between completing a
job in a successful manner on time,
or not doing so. Also during con-
struction projects there are areas
of work which we are better off
subcontracting to specialists, i.e.
concrete work, landscaping. This
account also gives us the ability
to work specialized equipment at the
Sludge Farm which we feel is not
cost productive as a purchase.
312.0 Fuel Oil 2,000.00
(1976 - $3,000.00)
Through this account we purchase the
necessary diesel fuel to run our
diesel equipment - two diesel tractors,
one diesel backhoe, one diesel W20
Case Loader and one Detroit diesel
dewatering pump.
321.0 Gasoline 27,000.00
(1976 - $24,000.00)
Provide operating fuel for all motor-
ized equipment in the Bureaus of
Sanitation and Wastewater - 30 trucks,
6 automobiles, and 20 other gasoline
powered pieces of equipment.
