28.0248 Maintenance Contracts - Vehicles: has been increased
only by the anticipated inflationary factor of 7 %.
However, the present 1976 budget number for Mainten-
ance Contracts — Vehicles is 28.0243, which interferes
with the budget subscription of another City Department,
(Photographing & Blueprinting). Therefore if possible,
we would like to change the Maintenance Contracts -
Vehicles budget number in 1977 to 28.0248.
28.0255 Lab Tests Wastewater: has decreased 42% for 1977. The
cost for the quarters of 1976 was 4,050.73. We feel
$20,000.00 will be enough money for 1977.
28.0321 Gasoline: reflects an anticipated 27% inflationary
increase.
28.0363 Office Supplies: shows a decrease of 33 %. The 1976
Budget was overstated in error.
28.0374 Meter Repair Parts: has decreased $13,000. We have been
purchasing all registers and generators for the ROM
Meters from the General Fund, since the new meter parts
are a definate improvement to our plant and equipment.
We are going to purchase them from the Deprecation
Fund under Plant and Equipment Water Meters #755.
28.0376 Computer and Billing Supplies: has been reduced 25 %.
The new water bill has eliminated mailing and return
envelopes.
28.0382 Maintenance Supplies Distribution System: Increased
24%. We are now buying our own repair parts, which
the plumbers use to repair stop boxes and other valves.
We save from $5.00 to $10.00 per job.
28.0580 Gross Income Tax: reflects an 8% decrease. This is due
to an over estimate in the 1976 budget. Total gross
income tax in 1975 was $40,966.88.
28.0640 Group Insurance: increased 33 %. At the present time we
are talking with other insurance companies.
The remainder of the General Fund Accounts either reflect a 7% inflationary increase
or no increase at all.
