CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />DEPARTMENT OF <br />CITY & BOWMAN CEMETERIES <br />214 ELM STREET <br />PHONE 284 -9458 <br />October 18, 1976 <br />Mr. Roger Parent, President <br />South Bend Common Council <br />County -City Building <br />227 West Jefferson Boulevard <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear Mr. Parent: <br />The Bureau of Cemeteries respectfully requests the Common Council to approve <br />the enclosed ordinance for transfer of funds in the general fund. <br />The Bureau is requesting that $1,500.00 be transferred to account 110726, <br />Other Equipment. <br />Some needed items must be purchased to carry out honorable burials at the <br />City Cemeteries. Urgently needed is a 16' x 24' chapel tent to replace the <br />present tent that is old, torn and leaks. It is beyond repair. Artificial <br />grass sets that surround the burial site are needed. The grass used now is <br />torn and has lost its effect. A drape set that goes around the burial de- <br />vice is needed. The present drape set is in deplorable condition. The above <br />were not included in the 1976 and 1977 budgets. <br />We are transferring the $1,500.00 from account 110120, Salaries and Wages <br />Temporary. There is a balance in account 110120, Monies set aside for summer <br />help was not entirely used.
