Stancati, Bureau Manager <br />TO: MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />SUBJECT: Ordinance for the Purchase of Two Concrete Vaults <br />The Bureau of Water is presenting an Ordinance to the Common <br />Council which will approve one Contract for the purchase of two concrete <br />vaults. These vaults are for the purpose of housing valves which have to <br />be moved to make way for the U.S. 20 Bypass. The State intends to reim- <br />burse the City for this expense. <br />Bids were let pursuant to the Statutes of the State of <br />Indiana and were found competitive. The Contract was awarded to Harry H. <br />Verkler, Contractor, Inc. of South Bend, Indiana by the Board of Water <br />Works Commissioners on the 7th day of September, 1976, as being the lowest <br />and best bid.
