NEMETH, Mayor w US <br />a <br />COUNTY -CITY BUILDING SOUTH BEND, INDIANA 46607 <br />/NDIANP <br />Members of the Common Council <br />Council Chambers, 4th Floor <br />County -City Building <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Dear Council Members: <br />September 22, 1976 <br />219/284 -9742 <br />There will be presented for your consideration on Septem- <br />ber 27, 1976, an ordinance amending Chapter 2, Article VIII, <br />Section 2 -119 of the Municipal Code of the City of South <br />Bend. <br />This particular section deals with employee sick leave, and <br />must be amended to reflect changes made while bargaining <br />with the Teamsters. The changes made would also apply to <br />all other city employees. <br />It is also felt that Section II of the amendment takes an <br />important step towards equal rights, and more particularly, <br />women's rights. <br />Your favorable consideration of this ordinance will be <br />appreciated. <br />Sincer y, <br />Peter H.
