ORDINANCE NO. L196-77 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE <br />BUREAU OF WATER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, AND CLOW CORPORATION OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE 16" BUTTERFLY <br />VALVE IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $3,960.60. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />To approve the purchase of one 16" Butterfly Valve which will allow <br />semi - automatic control of water intake from the Edison Station to the <br />North Reservoir. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION I. That the Contract entered into between the Bureau of <br />Water of South Bend, Indiana,and Clow Corporation, South Bend, Indiana, <br />on the 6th day of June, 1977, for the purchase of one 16" Butterfly <br />Valve, pursuant to advertising and receipt of bids as the purchase of <br />same is required in the operation of the Bureau of Water, for a total <br />cost not to exceed $3,960.60. <br />SECTION II.
