AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $45,000.00 FROM THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FUND, FOR INSTALLATION OF LIGHTS UNDER THE WESTERN AVENUE- WALNUT STREET RAILROAD VIADUCT, TO BE AD- MINISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH ITS DEPART- MENT OF PUBLIC WORKS. WHEREAS, The Department of Human Resources and Economic Development in the name of the City of South Bend has received the approval of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to execute certain commu- nity development project activities including eligible public works improve- ments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: SECTION I. The sum of $45,000.00 is hereby appropriated for the program year starting July 7, 1976, from the South Bend Community Development Block Grant Program. This appropriation is to be administered by the Depart- ment of Public Works. PROGRAM CD -76 -504 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ACCOUNT PURPOSE PROGRAM 260.0 Lighting of the Western $45,000.00 Other Contractuals Avenue - Walnut Street Railroad Viaduct TOTAL APPROPRIATION $45,000.00 SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the Mayor.
