ORDINANCE N0. (c d L/ cf - 7 2 <br />AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING AND ESTABLISHING AN <br />HISTORIC LANDMARK UNDER ORDINANCE NO. 5565 -73, <br />AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, <br />COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />W EREAS, a member of the Common Council of the City <br />of South Bend has petitioned for the designation of the following <br />described real estate as an Historic Landmark under Ordinance No. <br />5565 -73, as amended, to wit: <br />Lot 1 -2 -3 <br />Agricultural <br />The improvements located upon said land can be <br />commonly described as 701 Portage Avenue, Hose <br />House No. 6 <br />hereinafter referred to as the "PROPERTY." <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission of South <br />Bend and St. Joseph County has recommended the designation of the <br />PROPERTY as an Historic Landmark. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />SECTION 1. <br />That the above described PROPERTY be, and it is hereby, <br />designated and established as an Historic Landmark under Ordinance <br />No. 5565 -73, as amended. <br />SECTION 2. <br />That this Ordinance shall be in fall force and effect <br />from and after its passage by the Common Council, approved by the <br />Mayor and legal publication. <br />Memb of t e Common cil <br />Ist READING FILED IN CLERK'S OFFICE <br />PUEL;C HEARING ✓O _ Y —, <br />2tfd READING 2 `J 1977 <br />NOT APPROVED <br />REFERRED. �_1 Irene Gammon <br />PASSED / _ <br />� <br />CITY CLERK.
