ORDINANCE NO. 6321 -78 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $58,431.00 FROM THE <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT FUND, COMMONLY REFERRED <br />TO AS THE GENERAL REVENUE SHARING GRANT FOR <br />VARIOUS PROGRAMS TO BE ADMINISTERED BY THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF A.DMINIS <br />TRATION AND FINANCE. <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />Additional funds are needed to administer certain pro - <br />grams:a..nd to insure the city's ability to properly perform <br />its functions during the year 1978. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, as follows: <br />SECTION I. The sum of $58,431.00 is hereby ap- <br />propriated for the year 1978 from the General Revenue Sharing <br />Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Depart- <br />ment of Administration and Finance and will be distributed as <br />set forth below: <br />ACCOUNT <br />722.0 <br />PROGRAM FA 149 <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />DESCRIPTION <br />Motor Equipment <br />TOTAL FA 149 <br />AMOUNT <br />$58,431.00 <br />$58,431 00 <br />SECTION II. Twelve (12) cars which are to be replaced <br />under the terms of this ordinance, shall be disposed of by the <br />Board of Public Works by the end of 1978. <br />SECTION III. This Ordinance shall be in full force and <br />effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval <br />by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for <br />emergency appropriations. <br />of the Common Counc <br />Passed, as amended, April 10, 1978 <br />
