(Oaqj_ %f AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $53,200.00 FROM THE FEDERAL ASSISTANCE GRANT, COMMONLY RE- FERRED TO AS GENERAL REVENUE SHARING FOR VARIOUS PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAMS TO BE ADMIN- ISTERED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: Additional funds are needed by the Bureau of Environ- mental Control to administer certain Public Safety Programs and to ensure the Department's ability to properly perform its functions during the year 1978. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INIDANA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The sum of $53,200.00 is hereby appro- priated for the year 1978 from the Federal Assistance Grant Fund, commonly known as the General Revenue Sharing Trust Fund. This appropriation is to be administered by the Department of Admin- istration and Finance and will be distributed as set forth below: PROGRAM FA 141 HUMANE SOCIETY - 1978 Account Description Amount 260 Other Contractual Services $53,200.00 Total FA 141 $53,200.00 SECTION II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council, approval by the Mayor and the fulfillment of all statutory requirements for emergency appropriations.
