REGULAR MEETING <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />The Honorable Common Council November 8, 1957 <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />November 25, 1957 <br />The attached ordinance originated by the City Planning Commission to amend "The Zoning Ordinance of South Bend, Ind- <br />iana" by the addition of the following to Section 1: DWELLING: A building or portion thereof arranged or designed <br />to provide living facilities for one or more families. The term "dwelling" shall include a house trailer, but shall <br />not be deemed to include a motel, hotel, or automobile courts was legally advertised on 28 October 1957 and given <br />public hearing under date of 7 November 1957. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the attached ordinance to <br />amend "The Zoning Ordinance of South Bend, Indiana" be recommended favorably to the Common Council. <br />RLH /mah <br />Attachment <br />Very truly yours, <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />/s/ Robert L. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South,, Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />November 8, 1957 <br />The attached ordinance originated by the City Planning Commission to amend "The Zoning Ordinance of South Bend, <br />Indiana" by the addition of the following to SECTION 4, Sub - Section 2, "and Tourist Homes," so that the same shall <br />be and read "apartment houses, boarding and lodging houses, and tourist homes" was legally advertised on 28 October <br />1957 and given public hearing under date of 7 November 1957. Councilman Carr seconded the motion. <br />Mot-ion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLANNING COMMISSION: <br />The Honorable Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />November 8, 1957 <br />The attached ordinance originated by the City Planning Commission to amend "The Zoning Ordinance of South Bend, <br />Indiana" by repealing the definition of "Lodging House" under Section 1. and substituting therefor the following: <br />LODGING HOUSE: A dwelling in which more than two rooms and less than eight (8) are let for hire, or more than <br />five (5) persons.are given lodging for compensation was legally advertised on 28 October 1957 and given public hear- <br />ing under date of 7 November 1957. The following action was taken: <br />After due consideration it was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the attached ordinance to amend <br />"The Zoning. Hotels include motels and automobile courts, but do not include lodging houses <br />and tourist homes was legally advertised on 28 October 1957 and given public hearing under date of 7 November, 1957. <br />the following action was taken: <br />
