REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 14, 1947 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Regular Session in the Council Chambers, Monday, October-14, 1957, at 8:00 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Muszynski. President Stanley C. Korpal called the meeting to order and presided. ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilmen Kropal, Carr, Tellson, Christman, Kroll, Glass, Hahn and Erler. ABSENT: Councilman Muszynski. MINUTES: To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend that the same be approved. Stanley C. Korpal Julius B. Christman, Jr. Committee G. W. Carr Councilman Hahn made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. COMMUNICATION: WHITMORE CORPORATION 220 WEST LASALLE AVE. SOUTH BEND, INDIANA Mrs. Freda - Noble, City Clerk City of South Bend City Hall -...., South Bend, Indiana Dear Mrs. Noble: October 9, 1957 Would you please withdraw the petition for the Whitmore Corporation for "re- zoning ", which requested the land on Jefferson Street to be re -zoned to "C" Commercial and "A" Height and Area. a We wish to submit the enclosed new petition of the Whitmore Corporation which requests the same land to be re -zoned "C -1" Commercial and "A" Height and Area. PETITION: Petition of Whitmore Corporation to rezone land at East Jefferson Boulevard and 36th Street. Councilman Hahn made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Planning Commission. Councilman Carr seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF ORDINANCE COMMITTEE: To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee on Ordinances, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10 and 17, OF ORDINANCE NO. 3973 ADOPTED ON THE 12th DAY OF APRIL, 1954, Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE REPORTED FAVORABLE. /s/ George Carr, Chairman /s/ William A. ANNEXIN6'LANDS TO AND DECLARING SAME TO BE A PART OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion IT SHOULD BE REPORTED favorable. /s/ G. ORDINANCE NO. 4189 ORDINANCE NO. 4189 ANNEXING LANDS TO AND DECLARING SAME TO BE A PART OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Morris Park) The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent (Councilman Muszynski).
