Motion carried.. <br />COMMUNICATION <br />South Bend Firemen's Association <br />September 4, 1957 <br />Office of City Clerk <br />City of South Bend <br />City Hall <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Members of Common Council, Mr. Stanley Korpal, Pres. <br />Dear Sirs: <br />May I take this opportunity to express the appreciation and gratitude of the Wage Committee, representing the members <br />of the South Bend Fire Department, on your action relative to the wage increase granted us for the year of 1958. <br />We also appreciate the fact that the Members of the Common Council taak the time to meet with us and discuss the <br />problem of wages prior to the budget hearings. <br />It is the aim of all firemen to make our department and keep our department one of the finest in the State of Indiana. <br />We have the finest equipment to work with and the best of quarters to live and to work in, thanks to you and the men <br />who have preceeded you in the Council.
