South Bend Redevelopment Commission Regular Meeting — Thursday, July 11, 2013 6. NEW BUSINESS B. Airport Economic Development Area (1) continued... On January 10, 2013, the Commission approved additional funds in the amount of $1,490 for the project. It was recently brought to our attention that this amount was miscommunicated to us and the actual amount was higher. Danch, Hamer & Associates has provided staff with documentation that shows that they conducted additional work for the major subdivision process in the amount of $3,285. Staff requests Commission approval of additional funds in the amount of $3,285 from the Airport Economic Development Area TIF to cover the services for the major subdivision work. Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by Mr. Inks and unanimously carried, the Commission approved payment for additional survey and engineering services for Ignition Park Major Subdivision. C. West Washington- Chapin Development Area There was no business in the West Washington- Chapin Development Area. D. South Side Development Area There was no business in the South Side Development Area. E. Northeast Neighborhood Development Area There was no business in the Northeast Neighborhood Development Area. F. Douglas Road Development Area There was no business in the Douglas Road Development Area. G. Other (1) Resolution No. 3148 determining that the tax increment which may be collected in the year 2014 is needed to satisfy obligations of the Commission and that no excess assessed value may be allocated to the respective taxing units and other related matters. Ms. Leonard noted that Resolution No. 3148 determines there is no excess assessed value in our TIF areas for tax year 2013 pay 2014. The Commissioners received information regarding the projected need for improvements in the various areas. Staff recommends, and respectfully requests, Commission approval. 18
