1239 <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />JUNE 10, 1957 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City oS. o th Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee.of the Whole in the <br />Council Chambers, Monday, June 10, 1957, at 8:17 P.--,, wilV all members present. Councilman Carr, Chairman, presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND $306.66 TO OFFICE OF CITY JUDGE, <br />ACCOUNT E 212, POSTAGE, ALL OF THE BUDGET FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY <br />City Attorney Irving J. Smith read a letter supporting the above Ordinance from Judge Olczak. The Judge was unable <br />to attend due to a Naval Reserve Training Commitment. Proponents and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard <br />on the Ordinance. Miss Guthrie of the South Bend Civic Planning Association spoke against the Ordinance. <br />Councilman Erler made a motion that the Ordinance be referred to the Ways and Means Committee for further study. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Korpal made a motion to adjourn. Coun- <br />cilman Kroll seconded the motion.
