<br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred an Ordinance to rezone a tract of land on the South Side-of Lincoln -
<br />way West between Falcon and Kenmore Streets, from A Residential to C Commercial -- Millard Hartman, Respectfully report
<br />that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion it should be reported as stricken from'the record.

<br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Kroll seconded the motion.
<br />Motion carried.

<br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred An Ordinance Annexing lands to and Declaring Same to be a Part of the
<br />City of South Bend, Indiana, (South of the present City Limits line, East of Michigan Street and North of Walter
<br />Street, constituting a part of Pierre Navarre Park, and 2.7 acres of privately owned property), Respectfully report
<br />that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion it should be reported as favorable.

<br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Carr seconded the motion.

<br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 5 ayes, Councilmen Korpal, Carr, Tellson,
<br />Kroll and Muszynski; and 4 nays, Councilmen Christman, Glass, Hahn and Erler.
<br />Motion by Councilman Muszynski, seconded by Councilman Kroll, for a 5 minute recess. Motion carried.

<br />The Ordinance was given third reading and lost by a roll call vote of 5 ayes, Councilmen Korpal, Carr, Tellson, Kroll
<br />and Muszynski; and 4 nays, Councilmen Christman Christman, Glass, Hahn and Erler.

<br />$2,000.00, AND TO OFFICE OF THE CITY JUDGE ACCOUNT E- 216 -A, Transportation Allowance - Bailiff, $50.00,
<br />AND TO OFFICE OF CITY JUDGE ACCOUNT E -216 -B TransportationtAllowance - Probation Officer, $125.00, ALL OF
<br />THE BUDGET FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR 1956, AND DECLARING NN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY.
<br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Hahn made a motion that the
<br />Ordinance be set for public. hearing on November 26th, 1956. Councilman Carr seconded the motion. Motion carried.
<br />There being no further business before the Common Council, Councilman Hahn made a motion to adjourn. Councilman
<br />Christman seconded the motion. Motion carried and the Special meeting of the Common Council of the City of South
<br />Bend, Indiana, adjourned at 10:33 P:M.
