REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 28TH,1956 <br />1148 <br />Motion by Councilman Carr that the report be accepted and placed on file. Motion seconded by Councilman Muszynski. <br />Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCES, THIRD READING: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4094 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA (Main & Sherwood Streets -- Walz) <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes, 2 nays (Councilmen Erler and Glass). <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4095 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #3702 ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL-ON THE <br />13th day OF JUNE, 1949. OF 1951, Chap 72 <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4098 <br />AN ORDNANCE APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND $2,740.00 TO FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />Q -73 (SE FIRE STATION) $1,000.00; TO BOARD OF HEALTH W -11 ASSISTANT CLERK <br />$1,400.00; TO OFFICE OF CITY JUDGE E -363 OTHER OFFICE SUPPLIES (LAW BOOKS) <br />$340.00, ALL OF THE BUDGET FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR <br />1956 AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, 0 nays. <br />RESOLUTION <br />A RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO COOPERATE WITH THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND ADMINISTRATION OF A LOW -RENT HOUSING <br />PROJECT ON A SITE COMMONLY KNOWN AS "MAGGIE'S COURT," APPROVING A FORM OF <br />CONTRACT WITH THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />WITH RESPECT THERETO, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION THEREOF <br />Councilman Kroll made a motion to refer this resolution to a committee appointed by President Korpal to study the <br />resolution and report back to the Council as soon as possible. Motion seconded by Councilman Glass. Motion carried. <br />President Korpal appointed Councilmen Hahn and Carr to serve with him on a committee to study the resolution. <br />Councilman Hahn requested that President Korpal appoint some other member to serve with the committee since he felt <br />he was not able at this time to do so. Councilman Erler was then appointed by President Korpal. The Committee will <br />study the resolution and report to the Common Council on June 11th, 1956. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Councilman Christman informed the President of the Council that he voted Aye in favor of the F. E. P. C. Ordinance <br />with a reservation to bring the matter up again at the next council meeting, but that he now wished to vote Aye <br />without reservation, making the vote unanimous. <br />There being no further business before the Council, motion was made by Councilman Carr to Adjourn.
