REGULAR MEETING <br />March 12, 1956 <br />The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Council Chamber on the 12th day of March, 1956, <br />at 8:15 P.M., (C.S.T.) in regular session in accordance with the rules of the Council. <br />REPORT,OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have in- <br />spected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They, therefore, recommend <br />that the -same be approved. <br />GEORGE W. CARR <br />JULIUS B. CHRISTMAN, JR. COMMITTEE <br />STANLEY C. KORPAL <br />COMMUNICATION: <br />An Invitation was read from the South Bend Civic Planning Association to attend an Open House commemorating their <br />Twenty -fifth Anniversary. Ceremonies will be held at 8 P.M., March 21, 1956. Open House 2 to 4 P.M. <br />Motion by Councilman Tellson that the communication be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman <br />Kroll. Motion carried. <br />PETITION.' <br />Petition of Mr. -& Mrs. Jim Meerstan, et al, to rezone the West side of South Main Street from the 3200 block <br />through the 3400,block from E -Heavy Industrial, F Height and Area District to B Residential and A Height and <br />Area District, -v� <br />Mr. Erler made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Plan Commission. Seconded by Councilman <br />Muszynski. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred "An Ordinance amending Ordinance Zoning 3702 Commonly known as <br />the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana, (Lots 236, 237 and 238, D. M. Shiveley 1st Addition), <br />respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that, in their opinion, this ordinance be reported <br />to the Council as unfavorable. <br />Motion by Councilman Erler that the report be accepted and placed on file.
