REGULAR MEETING <br />PETITION, <br />FEBRUARY 27th, 1956 <br />Petition of Charles W. Gerhardt and others to zone lots 7 and 8 and the east 33 feet of Lot 6, all through <br />Henrick and Grant Addition to "C" Commercial use district and "D" Height and Area District. <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Plan Commission. Councilman Carr <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />Petition of John W. Ransberger, et al, to zone from "B" Use district and "A" Height and area district to "C" <br />mmercial and "D" Height and area District the Notth 175 feet of lot 1 as shown on the recorded plat of G. W. <br />Mikesell's First Addition to the City of South Bend. <br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Plan Commission. Councilman Glass seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An Ordinance providing for additional Personnel in the Office <br />of the Traffic Violations Department of South Bend and appropriating from the General Fund of the City of South <br />Bend the sum of Three Thousand ($3000.00) Dollars to the Budgetary Item, SERVICES PERSONAL, in the Office -of the <br />City Judge, Repealing any and all Conflicting Ordinances and Declaring an Extra Ordinary Emergency. Motion by <br />Councilman Erler, seconded by Councilman Korpal to amend the ordinance to read $2500.00 for the fiscal year. <br />Motion Carried.•. <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that, in their opinion this ordinance, as amended, <br />should go to the Council as favorable. <br />Councilman�Tellson made a motion that the report be accepted and-placed on file. Councilman Muszynski seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An Ordinance providing for the transfer of appropriated funds <br />in the amount of $225.00 from BUDGETARY ITEM E -12 entitled "PRO TEM SPECIAL JUDGES & JURIES -- .$800.00" to Bud- <br />getary Item E -72 entitled "Equipment" sub item 721 entitled "Furniture and Fixtures" as set forth`.in the Budget <br />for the Office of City Judge of South Bend for the year 1956, repealing any and all conflicting Ordinances and <br />Declaring an extra - ordinary emergency." <br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the teport be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Erler seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />REPOk OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South�Bend: <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An Ordinance providing for the transfer of appropriated funds in t <br />the amount of $75.0-0 from Budgetary Item E -12, entitled "Pro -tem Special Judges & Juries -- $800.00" to Budgetary <br />item entitled "Supplies E -36 Office" sub item #362 entitled "Stationary and Printing," $50.00, and sub item 4363 <br />entitled "Other Office Supplies ", $25.00, as set forth in the Budget of the office of City Judge of South Bend <br />for the year 1956, Repealing any and all conflicting ordinances and Declaring an extraordinary emergency. <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman Carr. <br />Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An Ordinance transferring and appropriating $400.00 from W38 <br />Board of Health Supplies General to W725 Board of Health Office Equipment; and $350.00 from W721 Board of Health <br />Furniture and Fixtures to W725 Board of Health Office Equipment; and $320.00 From MB721 Building Department <br />Furniture and Fixtures to MB725 Building Department Office Equipment; all of the Budget for 1956 of the Civil <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman Muszynski. <br />Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4073 <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL PERSONNEL IN THE OFFICE OF <br />THE TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS DEPARTMENT OF SOUTH BEND AND APPROPRIATING <br />FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND THE SUM OF TWENTY - <br />FIVE HUNDRED ($2500.00) DOLLARS TO THE BUDGETARY ITEM, SERVICES <br />PERSONAL, IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY JUDGE, REPEALING ANY AND ALL <br />CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND DECLARING AN EXTRA ORDINARY EMERGENCY. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll -call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays, 1 absent, Councilman <br />Hahn. <br />
