1031 -A <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />The Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Special session November 29th, 1954, at the hour <br />of 5:30 P.M. in accordance with the rules of the Council was called for the purpose of passing a Resolution of <br />condolence to Mrs. F. A. Miller, his widow, family and friends. <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />WHEREAS: God in His infinite widsom has called from this life a distinguished citizen <br />of our community, Mr. F. A. Miller, and <br />WHEREAS: Mr. Miller's life has been characterized by long years of fruitful service <br />to his city, and <br />WHEREAS: Under his leadership The South Bend Tribune has become one of the nation's <br />great newspapers, and <br />WHEREAS: The growth and progress of the City of South Bend have been singularly <br />implemented by this man's career, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED <br />That we, the Common Council of the.City of South Bend, do extend to Mrs. <br />F. A. Miller, his widow, and all other members of his family, and to his <br />fellow- workers at The South Bend Tribune, our deep sympathy in this hour of <br />sorrow and loss, <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED <br />That the Clerk of the City of South Bend duly certify this Resolution, enter <br />it into the minutes of the Council, and a copy to be sent to the bereaved. <br />W.
