I <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />SEP NRE 20TH, 1954 <br />A special meeting is hereby called of the Common Council of the City of South Bend to be held this date in the <br />Council Chamber, City Hall, at 10 :40 P.M. to consider a Resolution concerning liquidation of the Kemble Avenue <br />Housing Project. <br />WALTER C. ERLER SR. <br />President, Tommon. Council <br />We, the undersigned, hereby accept the above call. <br />CLOYD BESTIE WALTER G. MASS <br />CLEM- NIEZGODSKI MICHAEL R. PINTER <br />STANLEY.C. KORPAL CHESTER E. MUSZYNSKI <br />WALTER C. ERLER <br />The Special Call was read by the clerk* <br />Councilman Bestle moved that the call be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the Kemble Avenue Project (Indiana 15 -1) is not to be used for public housing, <br />BE IT, THEREFORE, RESOLVED: That The Housing Authority of the City of South Bend, Indiana and The Public Housing <br />Administration of the United Status be requested to proceed without delay to liquidate said Project by public <br />sale in accordance with the provisions of The Housing Act of 1954 (Public Law 560) passed by the Second Session <br />of the, Eighty -Third Congress of the United States, <br />The City Clerk of South Bend is directed to send a copy of this Resolution to The Housing Authority of the City <br />of South Bend and to The Public Housing Administration of the United States* <br />WALTER C. ERLER SR, <br />Member of Common oune 1 <br />Councilman Muszynski moved for the adoption of the Resolution. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried by a roll call vote of 7 a es (Councilmen Erler, Korpal, Pinter, Bestle, Niezgodski, Glass and Muszynski)- <br />0 nays - 1 absent (Councilman Hahn• <br />There being no further business before the Council, the Special Meeting adjourned at 10:50 P•M. <br />AT s <br />CLERK <br />} <br />
