COMMITTEE OF THE WHOIR MEETING <br />AUGUST 30TH, 1954 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Zouneil of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whoke <br />meeting in the Council Chamber, Monday, August 30th, at 8:00 P.M., with all members present. Chairman Hahn <br />presided. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4002 (AS AMENDED) <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF ALL BUDGET- OPERATED DEPARTMENTS <br />OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE FISCAL <br />YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 19559 AND ENDING-DECEMBER 31, <br />1954,INCLUDING `iDEPAETMENTS, FUNDS AND COMMIISSIONS FOR <br />WHICH MONEY IS APPROPRIATED, IN DOLE OR IN PART, FROM <br />FUNDS OTHER THAN THE GENERAL FUNDS, OF SAID CITY, TO -WIT: <br />STREET, TRAFFIC AND PARK DEPARTMENTS, FIREMlENtS PENSION <br />AND POLICEMENtS PENSION FUNDS, AND THE CITY PLAN COMMISSION: <br />PROVIDING THAT SUCH APPROPRIATIONS SHALL INCLUDE ALL OUT- <br />STANDING CLAIMS AND OBLIGA710NSt FIXING THE SALARIES OF <br />ALL CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES <br />AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH: PROVIDING <br />A TIME WHEN THE SAME SHALL.TAKE EFFECT: <br />The budget was read in full and each departmental appropriation was considered individually. <br />OFFICE OF MAYOR <br />Councilman Muszynski moved that the budget -for the Office of Mayor be approved and go to the Council favorable. <br />Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. Motion carried* <br />OFFICE OF CONTROLLER <br />Counoilman 'Niezgodski moved that the budget for the Office of Controller be approved and go to the Council <br />favorable. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />OFFICE OF CITY CLERK <br />Councilman Korpal moved that the budget for the Office of City Clerk be approved and go to the Council favorable. <br />Councilman Erler seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />OFFICE OF CITY TREASURER <br />gounoilman Glass moved that the budget for the Office of City Treasurer 1R;e approved and go to the Council favorable. <br />Councilman Erler seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />OFFICE OF CITY JUDGE_ <br />Councilman. Mus,zynski moved that the budget for the Office of City Judge be approved and go to the Council favorable. <br />Counci lman G7aias seconded .the, motion. Motion carried. <br />COMMON COUNCIL <br />Councilman Korpal moved that the budget for the Common 'Council be approved and go to the Council favorable. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion •carried, <br />OFFICE OF CITY ATTORNEY <br />Councilman Erler ` moved that G -261, Abstracting, be amended by striking out #650.00 and inserting $15040; Grand <br />Total by striking out $12,521900 and inserting $12,021.00. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried.' <br />Councilman Erler moved that the budget for the Office of City Attorney be approved and go to the Council favorable <br />as amended* 'Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />OFFICE OF THE BOARD <br />Councilman Niezgodski moved that the budget for the Office of the Board be approved and go to the Council favorable* <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />SEWER DEPARTMENT <br />Councilman Niezgodski moved that the budget for the Serener Department be approved and go to the Council favorable. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />DOG POUND <br />Councilman Muszynski moved that the budget for the Dog Pound be approved and go to the Council favorable. <br />Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT <br />Councilman Muszynski moved that the budget for theEhngLws&& Department be approvecAnd go to the 'Council favorable. <br />Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT <br />Councilman Glass moved that the budget for the Building Department be approved and go to the Council favorable. <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion* Motion carried. <br />ELECTRICAL INSPECTION DEPARTMENT <br />Councilman Glass moved that the budget for the: - Electrical Inspection Department be approved and go to the Council <br />favorable, Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />
