APRIL 26TH, 1954 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in the Committee of the Whole meeting in <br />the Council Chamber, Monday, April 26th, 1954, at 8:08 P *M., with all members present. Chairman Hahn presided. <br />ORiDINANCE <br />"An Ordinance transferring monies from various transportation allowances to travel expenses of the budget of 1954 ", <br />Councilman Erler made a motion that the ordinance be held over for two weeks. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 6 ayes (Councilmen Erler, Alford, Korpal, Bestle, Niezgodski and <br />Muszynski) - 3 nays (Councilmen Pinter, Glass, and Hahn.). , <br />ORDINANCE <br />"An Ordinance establishing a fixed mileage rate for reimbursement for city officials and employees in the use of <br />private conveyances for city business ". <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that the ordinance be held over for two weeks. Councilman Korpal seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />"An Ordinance concerning dealers in scrap or junk materials, and providing for the licensing end regulation <br />thereof, penalties for the violation, and repealing all ordinances in conflict therewith% <br />Councilmen Niorpal made a motion that the ordinance be referred to the Ordinance Committee and any councilman <br />interested .'in this ordinance be invited to attend this meeting and amendments drawn and presented to the next <br />Council meeting on May 10th. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilmaii Niezgodski made a motion that the Slum Clearance Ordinance be held up until May 10th. Councilman <br />Bestle seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Glass made a motion to adjourn, <br />which motion was seconded by Councilman Niezgodski.
