0RDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 ADDPTED JUNE 139 19490 AND COMMONLY KN0WN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND. ' (Lincoln Way West and Bendix Drive) Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on March 22nd. Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. (Non - profit Hospitals) The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Hahn made a motion for suspension of rules• Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion lost by a roll call vote of 8 ayes (Counca Erler, Korpal, Pinter, Bestle, Niezgodski, Glass, Hahn and Muszynski) - 1 nay (Councilman Alford). Councilman Hahn made a motion that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on March 22nd. Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE ?CREATING A GENERAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, REPAIR OR IMPROVEMENT OF STREETS, ALLEYS, SIDEWALKS, CURBS, GUTTERS AND SEWERS UNMR AUTHORITY OF CHAPTER 40 OF TBE -195.3 ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF INDIANA. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. AN ORDINANCE TRAFSFEMNG CERTAIN MONIES FROM BAR'RETT LAW IMPROVEMENT FUNDS TO THE GENERAL FUND AND APPROPRIATING SAID MONIES FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO_THE.GENERAL IMPROVEMENT - FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT TO STREET DEPARTMENT AMID EMPLOYING THE CITY ENGINEER IN A SUPERVISORY CAPACITY FOR THE SEWAGE DISPOSAL PLANT AND FIXING COMPENSATION. ' The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on March 22nd. Councilman Hahn seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 50 9 AND 10 OF ORDINANCE NO. 3913 BY CREATING A NEW CLASS OF ELECTRICAL LICENSE, PRESCRIBING REQUIREMENTS AND LICENSE PROVISIONS AND PROVIDING FOR AN ELECTRICAL EXAMINING BOARD AND, REPEALING ALL ORMNANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. The ordinance was given first reading by title only. ?councilman Hahn made a motion that the ordinance be laid on the table. Councilman .Muszynski.. seconded. the motion. Motion_. carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Councilman Korpal made a motion that the Warm Air.Heating Ordinance be referred to a special committee, namely, Councilmen Hahn, Korpal, Glass and Niezgodski, to meet next Monday evening at 7:30 Polo Councilman Bestle seconded the motion: Motion carried. Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the City Clerk draft a letter to the Federal Housing Administration, Obagressman Crumpacker. and Senators Jenner and Capehart, requesting that the terminal date of the disposition of World War II emergency housing projects in South Bend be postponed indefinitely because of the housing situation in South Bend, which is critical. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried. There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Mus2ynski made a motion to adjourn, which motion was seconded by Councilman Hahn.
