President Erler presided. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council, of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have <br />inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend <br />that the same be approved. <br />Meeting of'.January 11th, 1954. <br />Counellm.ex Glass made a motion that the report be accepted. <br />carried. ` <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />WALTER Co ERLER SR. <br />STANLEY C. KORPAL Committee <br />w. A. HAHN <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An Ordinance amending Ordinance Not 3 702 commonly known as the <br />Zoning Ordinance of the City of South Bend, Indiana% <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall be referred <br />to the Council with recommendations that the Council return this ordinance to the Plan Commission for further <br />study. <br />W. A. HM, Chairman <br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />Tot The Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />Gentlement <br />Petition of Jook McCormack to rezone Lots 13, 14 and 15 in Fernwood Addition from A residential and A height and <br />area district'to D light industrial and E height and area districts was given public hearing under date of <br />December 3, 19'53, before the City Planning Commission. This change is not recommended for the following reasons: <br />It is an unwarranted intrusion of industrial use into a residential <br />district and no evidence of need from a neighborhood standpoint for industrial <br />use in this area was shown. <br />This property is located between Sunrymsde. Avenue and the railroad tracks, adjacent to the north -south alley one <br />block west and parallel to Logan street. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Robert L.
