OLLETT, III CONTROLLER August 23, 2002 The Honorable Roland Kelly President, South Bend Common Council 4`~ Floor, County-City Building South Bend, IN 46601 Re: Substitute Ordinance of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, Fixing the Maximum Salaries and Wages of Teamster Employees of the City of South Bend, Indiana, for Calendar Years 2003, 2(?04, 2005 and 2006 Dear President Kelly: On August 21, 2002, the City administration submitted an Ordinance to the Common Council Fixing the Salaries of the City's Teamsters employees for calendar years 2003 through 2006, inclusive. That Ordinance has been revised to eliminate some positions, add positions, and modify the hourly rates which were incorrectly inserted in the original ordinance. The revised, substitute ordinance is attached. This ordinance reflects the successful collective bargaining negotiations between the City and the Teamsters Union. Either Iand/or Deputy City Attorney Je~ey Jankowski will respond to any questions you may have about this Ordinance at the scheduled Council Committee Meeting and will also make the formal presentation at the Common Council's public hearing.
