OLLETT, III <br />CONTROLLER <br />August 23, 2002 <br />The Honorable Roland Kelly <br />President, South Bend Common Council <br />4`~ Floor, County-City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Re: Substitute Ordinance of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />Fixing the Maximum Salaries and Wages of Teamster Employees of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, for Calendar Years 2003, 2(?04, 2005 and 2006 <br />Dear President Kelly: <br />On August 21, 2002, the City administration submitted an Ordinance to the Common Council <br />Fixing the Salaries of the City's Teamsters employees for calendar years 2003 through 2006, inclusive. <br />That Ordinance has been revised to eliminate some positions, add positions, and modify the hourly <br />rates which were incorrectly inserted in the original ordinance. The revised, substitute ordinance is <br />attached. This ordinance reflects the successful collective bargaining negotiations between the City <br />and the Teamsters Union. <br />Either Iand/or Deputy City Attorney Je~ey Jankowski will respond to any questions you <br />may have about this Ordinance at the scheduled Council Committee Meeting and will also make the <br />formal presentation at the Common Council's public hearing. <br />Your favorable consideration of this substitute Ordinance would be greatly appreciated. <br />Sincerely, <br />n <br />Frederick B.
